ABOUT THE PROJECT
A former aramid lab transformed into working space, where the design is based in three different concepts working together as a gear.
The first one, the monumental brick wall, present in the main entrance, connects the existing industrial architecture with the vivid interior. It becomes in this way a welcoming gesture for everyone who wants to know about the aramid production.
An exhibition centre is located in the ground floor, where all the items produced with this strong synthetic fibre are displayed. The main elements designed with a striking yellow colour, directly refer to the mentioned aramid and at the same time they give a fresh and young feeling to the space. Hints of this colour can be found along the full building, becoming in this way a strong design concept.
The third gesture, the wooden membrane, becomes the functional element that makes the office space unique. This warm and soft wall, built in wood and acoustic material, is wrapping the main core. It works as a noise barrier, separating the vibrant common space with the quiet office area.
